Testing results Summary

Testing of the bridge has been concluded and for the most part all requirements were met according to the requirements section of the report. All dimensional points of the bridge were up to par with the requirements set forth within the report such as length and height of the bridge. The bridge also allowed for passage of a 25mmx32mm block within the road deck of the bridge with no hinderance. while the bridge was able to stay in the fully raised position for more than 10 seconds without an outside force acting on it, the bridge did not meet the fully raised height requirement of 200mm. The bridge experience interference from the tower that provided the lift to the bridge which cause the bridge to not meet the full 200mm of height that was expected. To fix this problem in the future an offset should be put between the bridge and the tower so that less contact is made between the tower and the bridge itself. This was the only failed test however as the bridges overall weight was below the 85 gram maximum and the failure load was higher than 18.9kg. The bridge however did fail before its expected load value as the road deck was not able to hold the required weight to meet the 30kg expected value.
